Product Information
The Selena KimiKit was the first sewing kit prototype created. The patchwork process evolved as a suitable method for maintaining a ‘look’ from multi-various remnant fabrics. Black and white is the focus of this checkered introductory series and Selena features a pop of tangerine. While each of the remnant cloths is finite, the checkered patchwork process enables both a uniformity and a dynamic process, imparting each kit with its own unique character. Therefore, whilst all kits conform to the prototype style, they are less likely to be identical in appearance. Each handmade Selena design comes with a certificate of authenticity.
The KimiKit is designed to conserve resources, maximize longevity and create a new loop in the lifecycle of materials. They have been created for people who care about the environment and want to buy considered products with low carbon footprints, using sustainable fabrication. But more importantly these kits are designed to reconnect people to textiles and clothing, re-kindling and fostering an enjoyment for textile products. They are cleverly constructed from RECLAIMED and disused textile and expertly minimize the further creation of waste. Each technique is carefully selected to maximize the crafting experience for the individual maker. Better still it’s an extremely REUSABLE textile product that promotes REPAIR.
Support a wasteless future for textiles and join us in saving the planet one item at a time.
